Description

Dress has straight boxy silhouette, is below-the-knee length, has three quarter length sleeves. Dress has a scoop neckline, sheer white lining visible through the skirt. Has a mock waistline seam created with beads. Has allover pattern of petals made with beads.

Beads on this dress were made individually by hand by rolling small bits of raw cotton into pieces of matching silk and knotting them closed with thread. They were each then sewn on individually by hand in an Art Deco pattern that was popular at the time. The beads are in excellent condition.

This dress was likely worn in a wedding ceremony but the donor was uncertain.
